Today was my first visit with Dr Goverdhana and I loved him!! He listens and actually cares about you and your well being, I would give him 10 stars if I could..I am so happy I made him my primary care provider.
Okay, I know. It's a little weird reviewing HOSPITAL FOOD, right? But let me tell you something: This cafe is your best option for food if you're stuck in the hospital like I was. You think of food in the hospital as like tasteless soups or weird egg burritos (if you're lucky). But this cafe had strawberry smoothies and even little pre-packaged (but non-commercialized) snacks like a blueberry/gouda-cheese tray. One of the downsides, however, is that they seem to be open for odd hours. I think they even close in the middle of the day (at least when I was there). The customer service is also hit or miss. But yeah, it's a hospital cafe so I give them a break. I'm just happy to not have to eat only jello.
I love the food here and the staff are willing to check packages or share recipes so that one can look for allergenic foods. They are very friendly and helpful. The food is cooked fresh daily in the morning and at lunch. Breakfast is served until 1030 and many items are cooked when ordered including pancakes. The salad bar is open from 1030 until 6pm and has vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. The grill is open from 1100 until 6pm. I would definitely recommend eating here for the price and quality of food served.
For hospital food the cafeteria at kaiser is the best! I've gone here multiple times over the last few years! For less than ten dollars you can get a very good tasting breakfast or lunch that fills you up. For those complaining about price there are vending machines or you can get fruit or a muffin. There are some complaining it's only healthy food.....your in a HOSPITAL not a fast food restaurant?! What I love most about this cafeteria is the nice sitting areas with a nice view of the garden area. Kaiser cafeteria is almost worth getting sick for....or maybe not? hopefully your ok, but if you do end up here this is a nice calm peaceful rest area.
